Preeta led thought leadership for Deloitte's U.S. Technology, Media and Telecom practice for the past 5 years. In addition to being an Ellen Gabriel Fellow, she published numerous pieces both at Deloitte and well-recognized journals on topics ranging from the Internet of Things, mobile payments, digital education, and additive (3D) manufacturing.
Previously, Preeta was an Assistant Professor at Brandeis University's International Business School, writing over 40 academic publications including journal articles in Research Policy, Journal of Management, Technovation, R&D Management and IEEE. As an Assistant Professor at Brandeis and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she led novel undergrad, graduate and executive education curriculum, spearheaded private-public partnerships, and won numerous grants and awards, including a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Scholar grant to study early-stage entrepreneurial ventures and frugal innovation in India.
Preeta received her Ph.D. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her B.S. degree in Computational Biology and Business (with University and College Honors) from Carnegie Mellon University. Preeta was also recognized with a "40 Under 40" award by Boston Business Journal.
Personally, Preeta is an International Coach Federation accredited executive coach, a Yoga Alliance accredited yoga instructor, and a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Most recently, Roopom was the President and CEO of RainDance Technologies (acquired by BioRad Labs), a venture-backed life science company pioneering the field of liquid biopsy for the detection of cancer from a blood test. Previously, he was a Director of Healthcare Investment Banking at Leerink Swann, where he led the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sector, and with McKinsey and Goldman Sachs advising Fortune 500 healthcare companies globally on corporate and growth strategy, product development, alliances, mergers and acquisitions. He has successfully completed over 60 transactions including private financings, IPOs, Follow-ons, PIPE/RDs, and Debt/Fixed income as well as M&A.
Roopom''s technical background includes scientific research in cancer genomics at the Dana Farber Cancr Institute, MIT-Whitehead Human Genome Project, and the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Roopom holds an M.P.P. from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and dual B.S. degrees in Biology and Economics from M.I.T., where he was elected a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Scholar. Roopom was also honored with a "40 Under 40" award by Boston Business Journal.
Personally, Roopom is an avid tennis player and enjoys cycling and basketball, as well as nature photography and writing short stories.
